Even I have a strong urge of knowing all the things happening around me- whether its economy, psychology, sociology, etc. I also like to study the mind and body. I am trying to do so by observing myself. I satisfy my desire to know about vast fields in a similar way as you have mentioned- I go to Wikipedia and get an overview about the topic. Regarding the feasibility of knowing all the fields- I believe that the most important thing is concentration. If we want to observe ourselves, even the we need to concentrate on our thoughts. So once the power of concentration is achieved I think we can use the potential of our mind to the full and after that there is nothing impossible.
